I'm a PhD student in Mathematics at Ghent University under the supervision of Tom De Medts. My position is part of the EOS-project "High-dimensional expanders and Kac-Moody-Steinberg groups" which is in cooperation with Pierre-Emmanuel Caprace and Timothée Marquis from UCLouvain. My main focus is on constructing new high-dimensional expanders using the rich structure provided by Kac-Moody-Steinberg groups. This involves studying buildings, in particular their opposition complexes, simplicial (co)homology theory as well as various aspects of group theory, geometry and combinatorics. In my free time, I like to play ultimate frisbee and bake fresh sourdough bread.
I am co-organizing the summer school "Homological Methods in Group Theory and Topology" at Ghent University, June 10-13,2025. More information can be found here.
I plan to go to the following conferences. A list of conferences I attended in the past can be found here.
